New Delhi Airport Metro line opens

A new airport metro rail service has begun operating in New Delhi that could help to reduce travelling times for those taking flights to India.

The Airport Express Line of Delhi Metro has been met with positive comments from passengers as it provides a cost-effective and time-saving alternative to taking a taxi to the airport.

"It is a dream come true. Travelling in this train makes me believe that we are in sync with the developed world now," a passenger told Business Standard.

He added: "The monopoly of taxi drivers who used to harass us will end now. This outstanding service is not only a technological marvel, it is safe too."
