Lufthansa Displays ‘Love’ for London Routes

Lufthansa seems to be smitten by the UK or so it seems! The Germany’s flag carrier has come up with a winter schedule and the schedule displays airline’s fascination with the British Isles.

Lufthansa has launched new routes to London Gatwick and Aberdeen. The airline has also increased the frequency of flights to London Heathrow. It seems that the new fourth runway at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) has acted as the cupid and has facilitated these new routes!

One of Europe’s largest airlines, Lufthansa is offering a new double daily service from Gatwick and three-times-a-day service from Aberdeen. Travellers moving to and from London will now be inundated with choices as flight options are concerned. And it just might help travellers in landing up with cheap travel tickets on flights!

Gatwick Airport’s commercial director, Guy Stephenson welcomed the airline and hopes that the new flight service will strengthen the bond between financial centres of London and Frankfurt.

Gatwick has over 200 connections around the world and thus offer passengers a large choice of destinations to fly to.

BA to Buy BMI?

Away from the hullabaloo and celebrations of flight launch to Gatwick and Aberdeen, Lufthansa is working hard on deals and negotiations regarding the sale of group’s low-cost airline, BMI. And if rumours are to be given print, then British Airways’ parent company IAG is all set to take in BMI, an airline that is known for offering cheap flight tickets.

BMI has been in the red for quite some time now.
