Tourists jetting off on their summer breaks are seeking more from the travelling experience.This is according to Alexander Lyons, PR executive for responsibletravel.com, who explained that travellers want "more authentic, richer, deeper experiences". He noted that people are increasingly turning to responsible holidays in order to find this kind of trip.
"They want better holidays for their money and responsible tourism offers them that sense of place and that story behind the destination," Mr Lyons added. As well as selecting sustainable accommodation and destinations, travellers are being urged to take the environment into consideration wherever they visit.
