Travellers who have been planning a holiday to Vietnam have a reason to be happy as they can buy tickets on Emirates Airlines new route to Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City. According to the Emirates’ news release, the airline is all set to offer non-stop daily flights to Ho Chi Minh City from 4th June 2012.

The new flight will make air travel to Vietnam, particularly for travellers from the Middle East, Africa and Europe much more comfortable and convenient.

The daily non-stop flight, EK 390 will depart Dubai International Airport at 0925hrs arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 1920hrs. The return flight to Dubai, EK 391 will depart Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 2050hrs arriving Dubai airport at 0045hrs, the next day.

Initially, Emirates will offer outbound flight to Ho Chi Minh City and return flight to Dubai using an Airbus A330-200 which, starting 28th October 2012, will be replaced by a Boeing 777-300 ER – both in two class configuration.

Travellers aiming to buy economy class tickets on cheap flights can now choose Emirates as the flight will offer 251 Economy Class seats - a considerably higher number than 27 Business Class seats only.

Emirates’ entry into Vietnam’s travel market with a ‘7 days-a-week non-stop flight’ is a part of its meticulous expansion plans and may spell availability of tickets on cheap flights for travellers due to increased competition in the region.

Ho Chi Minh City is Emirates’ 124th destination and eighth route launch this year. Other newly launched routes include Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro (launched on 3rd January); Dublin (9th January); Lusaka and Harare (1st February); Dallas (2nd February) and Seattle (1st March).
