People who take flights to Delhi could keep their eyes open for a female taxi driver after they arrive as women drivers have been found to be far safer than their male counterparts.A study carried out by the police in the Indian capital showed that women drivers accounted for less than one per cent of serious accidents in the city.
Out of the 1,147 people who were arrested for road collisions in the last year, only eight were female.
In addition, only two per cent of all accidents on roads in the city involve female drivers.
