Those taking cheap flights to Goa will soon have a choice of airports at which to land after plans to construct a second international hub were approved.

According to Travelbizmonitor.com, the state government has acquired land to build the new airport, which should be in full operation by 2014.

As well as plans to construct the hub, a proposal has been passed which will see the existing airport in Dabolim expanded to accommodate the growing number of people taking cheap flights to Goa.
